Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies is a witty, insightful, and emotionally rich drama that explores the complexities of marriage, friendship, and change. Over shared meals and conversations, two couples — longtime friends — find their relationships shaken when one marriage unexpectedly falls apart. As loyalties are tested and truths revealed, the play offers a poignant look at how people grow together, grow apart, and struggle to hold on to the connections that define them. With humor and honesty, Dinner with Friends captures the shifting bonds of modern life and the bittersweet nature of lasting friendships. Premiering in 1998, the play received wide acclaim and went on to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2000, cementing its reputation as one of the most compelling and relevant plays of its time.

The normal amount of water that flows over the dam into the Gorge is around 75 cfs (cubic feet per second). During the Aesthetic Releases, the cfs is 200. Enjoy the Falls from the North & South Rim Trails, or take the steps into the Gorge for a more “up close” view. Keep in mind that Gorge floor permits are not issued during the water releases. For more information, call Tallulah Gorge State Park at 706-754-7981.

The North Georgia Regional Book Fair celebrates emerging and aspiring writers from the Southeast by promoting literacy, creative writing, and community connection. The goals of the book fair are to provide a platform for regional voices, foster a love of reading, encourage future writers, and support a vibrant literary culture across our region. The Dahlonega Literary Festival and the UNG Department of English are pleased to announce the third annual North Georgia Regional Book Fair on September 12, 2026, which will feature over 70 regional writers. This FREE event will feature authors of all genres. Authors will have their latest works on display and will also host panels and presentations. The event includes a BINGO game and door prizes, student vendors, and concessions. There will also be a children’s reading hour featuring Ellie, the service dog. The featured authors for the event are Lynn Cullen, author of When We Were Brilliant (2026), and Jenn Lyons, author of Green & Deadly Things (2026). Cullen’s most recent novel, historical fiction, traces the relationship between Marilyn Monroe and photographer Eve Arnold. Cullen has several national and internationally bestselling novels and has received several honors, including the NPR Great Read, the ALA Best Book of the Year, and the Oprah Book of the Week. For more about Lynn Cullen, visit https://lynncullen.com/about/. Jenn Lyons’ Chorus of Dragons series is a set of five fantasy fiction novels featuring Kihrin, a thief from the slums of Quur who discovers his royal origins and becomes embroiled in a political saga where the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Her most recent novel, Green & Deadly Things, follows Mathaiik who must save the world from the forces of undead wizards. For more about Lyons, visit https://jennlyons.com/. Author Heather Thompson, who will be back for the third time this year, stated, “The North Georgia Regional Book Fair is a must attend for me as a local indie author because so many self-published writers go unseen day-to-day. This event allows independent authors to shine and elevates those of us doing it on our own." Another author who has participated every year is Jason Wetzel, who said, “The Book Fair at the University of North Georgia is truly a one of a kind community gathering—bringing authors, illustrators, and readers from across all Georgia together in a shared celebration of creativity and storytelling. Dr. Getty has done a remarkable job shaping this event into something vibrant, welcoming, and exceptionally well organized. As a participating author, I am genuinely honored to be part of this experience and to showcase my work in such a colorful, upbeat, and professional setting. Hosting the fair at UNG adds an extra measure of distinction; the university’s statewide and national reputation gives every author a meaningful boost and affirms the importance of our work. I am grateful to contribute to an event that reflects the best of UNG’s spirit—community minded, uplifting, and committed to the arts.” Participants can also view The Bayeux Tapestry replica, one of only [...]

“That Little Ol' Band From Texas” has been at it for well over a half century, delivering rock, blues and boogie on the road and in the studio to millions of devoted fans. With iconography as distinctive as their sound, ZZ TOP is virtually synonymous with beards, hotrod cars, spinning guitars and that magic keychain, all of which transcend geography and language. The elements that keep ZZ TOP fresh, enduring and above the transitory fray can be summed up in the three words of the band's internal mantra: “Tone, Taste and Tenacity.” They have sold hundreds of millions of records over the course of their career, have been officially designated as Heroes of The State of Texas, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (by Keith Richards, no less) and have been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms. They are true rock icons and, against all odds, they're really just doing what they've always done. Visit their official website for news, music, videos, merch & more! https://www.zztop.com/

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. Designers will especially enjoy highlighting the fantastical elements of this magical word.

Over the last two decades, Sarah Evans has carved a successful career anchored by her insightful songwriting and warm, evocative voice. With such enduring hits as “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” “Perfect” and “A Little Bit Stronger,” she's earned recognition as the fifth most played female artist at country radio and continues to be a force on the road with tour dates criss-crossing the country. For her ninth studio album titled "Copy That", the Missouri native serves up an eclectic bounty of songs that have shaped her life and storied career. Little Big Town's Phillip Sweet joins Evans for a buoyant rendition of the Stevie Nicks and Kenny Loggins classic “Whenever I Call You Friend” and Old Crow Medicine Show adds their unique flavor to the Hank Williams standard “I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry.” Her cover of Dexy's Midnight Runners' 1982 hit “Come On Eileen” is absolutely infectious and her pulsating rendition of The Knack's “My Sharona” shows a rockin' side of Evans rarely heard.

With his trusted companion, Doctor Watson, at his side, Sherlock Holmes pursues first the case, and then the affections of Miss Adler—and in doing so, marches right into the lair of his longtime adversary, that malevolent genius of crime: Professor Moriarty. In this spirited, fast-moving and thoroughly theatrical adaptation, Steven Dietz presents Holmes at the height of his powers—surrounded by all the elements that fans of his exploits have come to expect: danger, intrigue, wit, humor and surprise. “The game is afoot, Watson—and it is a dangerous one!"

Howard and David continue to prove that the trail they've ridden to fame has been as unique as their music itself—music that is now celebrating over 40 years of success. The road that started on the pop music charts in the ‘70's, took a winding turn into country music in the ‘80's, paving the way for duos to come, such as Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich and previously—The Judds. But before the road forked into country, the musical odyssey of brothers Bellamy started creatively smoldering in their home state of Florida, before exploding nationally amidst the '70's pop music culture of L.A. By the late ‘70's The Bellamys were emerging on the country charts with another bona fide smash. “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” originally scrawled on a dinner napkin by David, rocketed them to the top of the country charts the way “Let Your Love Flow,” had done in the pop market just a few years earlier. It proved to be the first of a string of fourteen No. 1 singles in the U.S. alone. Success followed success: “Dancing Cowboys,” “Sugar Daddy,” “You Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie,” “Lovers Live Longer,” “Do You Love As Good As You Look,” “Redneck Girl,” “For All The Wrong Reasons,” “I Love Her Mind,” “I Need More Of You,” “Old Hippie,” “Too Much Is Not Enough,” “Kids Of The Baby Boom,” “Reggae Cowboy” and “Crazy From The Heart,”…all have lined the corridors of the Bellamy's musical history and their walls with platinum and gold. In 2019, the Bellamys released Over the Moon as well as their first book Let Your Love Flow – the Life and Times of The Bellamy Brothers. The book is about two Florida cowboys who journeyed from country poverty to worldwide musical stardom because they had the talent and because it never occurred to them, they couldn't make it. The Bellamy Brothers latest project is their new album titled '40 Years' is an ambitious project that celebrates their career with 20 of their biggest hits and then adds 20 brand new songs in this 2 cd anniversary collection. Exile formed in 1963 looking to play small clubs in Richmond, Kentucky but managed to top both the pop and country charts with eighteen hits collectively, including eleven No. 1s during their 60-year-long career. Their iconic smash hit, “Kiss You All Over,” spent four weeks at the top of Billboard's pop chart in 1978. In the early 1980s, Exile started to focus on country music. During their run on the country charts, Exile had ten No. 1 singles, including “Woke Up In Love” and "Give Me One More Chance." The hit song "Kiss You All Over" was used in the 1996 Adam Sandler movie Happy Gilmore and the 2006 film Employee of the Month, among others. They have written hit songs for other major label artists, including Alabama, Diamond Rio, and Restless Heart. The five original Exile members re-formed in [...]

Based out of Hudson, North Carolina, the family's roots are all about the Lord, Gospel Music and edifying the church. Mylon, originally from Boone, North Carolina, spent most of his life singing with his parent's full-time ministry, The Hayes Family. Wendy, a native of Morganton, North Carolina grew up singing solos at church and is no stranger to music ministry herself. In 1995, the couple married and God has blessed them with three children, who now minister with them full time – twin sons, Conner and Bailey, and their daughter, Kennedy. This family's desire is to lift up the Lord with the music they sing, pointing people to the Cross. Jesus said in John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me”. He was lifted up on that cross and took our punishment because of His great love for us all. The Mylon Hayes Family hope you see Jesus and realize His great love for you in the songs they sing and the words they say. The Rumfelt Family The Rumfelt family comes to you with a rich musical heritage with roots in the Nantahala mountains. Their style is enriched with southern, bluegrass, and a progressive Christian flavor that is unlike any group you've heard. Chris the leader and dad has been singing and playing music for over thirty years. Chris has traveled as soloist until his children were born. He has recorded five solo albums including a national album release "The Day He Wrote My Name." He is the song writer of the group writing and arranging half of their songs. Although Chris is known more for his preaching, his ability to captivate the listener with anointed lyrics, a southern tone with a hint of country vocal, is gaining fame in the music industry. Although he still travels as a soloist and evangelist, his desire [...]
The Aesthetic Water Releases happen in the Spring and the Fall, when Georgia Power Company releases extra water over the Tallulah Dam to bring the flow of water over the 6 waterfalls in the Gorge to a more historical flow level.

It was a transformative moment when two young brothers discovered their grandfather Malpass' LPs collection. Drawn like a moth to a flame, the classic-filled treasure trove from the golden era of traditional country music gathered little dust in the Malpass household. Chris and Taylor studied the brother-harmony bluegrass duos of Jim & Jesse, the Louvin and Wilburn Brothers and bathed in the sounds of Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard. It was musical Manna to the boys—there was nothing in the marketplace that fed The Malpass Brothers' soul more than the music of this bygone era--and they would stay true to it. Best known as modern-day troubadours who carry the torch for traditional country music, The Malpass Brothers began singing and playing together professionally at a very young age. Alongside their dad, Chris Malpass Sr., the siblings performed at churches all over the southeast, but they continued to hone their traditional sound by working alongside and amongst the legends. Always Loretta Always Loretta is a show dedicated to honoring the timeless music and legacy of country music legend Loretta Lynn. Led by Emily Portman and the Original Coalminers, the show recreates Loretta's greatest hits and unforgettable moments, keeping her music alive for future generations. With heartfelt performances and authentic storytelling, Always Loretta celebrates the life and impact of one of country music's most iconic voices.
The world’s greatest detective has seemingly reached the end of his remarkable career when a case presents itself that is too tempting to ignore: The King of Bohemia is about to be blackmailed by a notorious photograph, and the woman at the heart of this crime is the famous opera singer, Irene Adler.

Molly Tuttle is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and virtuosic guitarist whose innovative blend of bluegrass, Americana, pop, and rock has made her one of the most dynamic artists in modern roots music. In 2025, she released her boldest statement yet, the critically acclaimed So Long Little Miss Sunshine, nominated for two GRAMMY® Awards—Best Americana Album and Best Americana Performance for the lead single “That's Gonna Leave A Mark.” Recorded in Nashville with producer Mike Joyce (Orville Peck, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson), the album marks Tuttle's fifth full-length release and her most ambitious reinvention to date: a vibrant, deeply personal body of work rooted in self-acceptance and transformation. A highly decorated artist, Tuttle has been nominated for 5 GRAMMY Awards (including in the Best New Artist category) and earned back-to-back GRAMMY wins for Best Bluegrass Album with her band Golden Highway - Crooked Tree (2022) and City of Gold (2023) - becoming the first artist in the category's history to do so. She is also the first woman to receive the IBMA Guitar Player of the Year award, alongside multiple additional IBMA and Americana Music Awards. Special Guest: Jack Blocker is a singer-songwriter whose music is rooted in sincerity, storytelling, and a deep love for his home state of Texas. Whether he's jumping around on stage with a full band or singing solo with just an acoustic guitar, Blocker's performances are captivating and compelling. “My goal is to give some new life to each song that only exists in that moment,” he says.

Edgy. Classic. Country. A defining voice of music and a modern-day legend, two-time 2020 GRAMMY® winner Tanya Tucker continues to inspire artists today. Born in Seminole, Texas, Tanya had her first country hit, the classic "Delta Dawn," at the age of 13 in 1972. Since that auspicious beginning, she has become one of the most admired and influential artists in country music history, amassing 23 Top 40 albums and a stellar string of 56 Top 40 singles, ten of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard country charts. Tanya's indelible songs include some of country music's biggest hits such as the aforementioned "Delta Dawn," "Soon," "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane," "It's a Little Too Late," "Trouble," "Texas (When I Die)," "If It Don't Come Easy" and "Strong Enough To Bend." Tanya is also the recipient of numerous awards, including two CMAs, two ACMs and three CMT awards. In 2020, Tanya received two GRAMMY® Awards for Best Country Album: While I'm Livin' and Best Country Song: "Bring My Flowers Now." In the fall of 2020, Fantasy Records released Tanya Tucker -- Live From The Troubadour on October 16, the one-year anniversary of Tanya's historic, standing-room only set from which it originates. Tanya was in the midst of resurgent visibility and acclaim generated by her Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings produced While I'm Livin' album released two months earlier -- so the brief stand in front of the West Hollywood tastemaker crowd took on a palpable air of significance. As someone who's been center stage for more than 50 years, Tanya is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the album directly to The Troubadour.
