Local artists will be showing off their work during the 2022 Northeast Georgia Arts on November 11-13 from 10 am to 5 pm each day. The self-guided tour routes visitors from the region through Rabun and Habersham counties then to White, Union, Towns and the vistas and backroads of Clay County. Local participants in the tour include Bruce Beckner Art, Hickory Flat Pottery, J.C. Simon Fine Woodworking, Mark of the Potter, the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum, Soque Artworks, the Art-Full Barn and Southern Seasons Inn. Visitors to the places on the tour have the opportunity to bring home specialty handcrafted work from painters, potters, folk art, jewelry, mixed media, metal, photography, furniture makers, fiber, wood and much more. In addition, they’ll have a story to tell about meeting the artist and some of the scenery they enjoyed on the drive. Follow the Arts Tour signs here in Habersham county, then to 40 locations in north Georgia and southwest North Carolina. Map brochures are available at welcome centers around the state and participating vendors in each county. The route is online at artstour.org.
