Blairsville Scottish Festival & Highland Games

Discover your "clan" and hang out with locals and visitors enjoying traditional games. Highland music, dancing and food with a Scottish flair. Watch border collies herd sheep and falcons swoop down on "prey" or check your roots at the Heritage Tent. Children can compete in their own Highland games. For the "wee ones" there's face painting, train rides. The weekend includes a Kilted golf classic, Ceilidh party, Kilted Mile Run, Clan Tug of War, Bonniest Knees Contest. Blairsville Cruiser “Cruise-In at the Farmer’s Market”

Join us on Blairsville's Historic Town Square on the 3rd Saturday of each month, April - October, from 3pm - 7pm for a Classic Car Show like no other.Featuring a wide-variety of classic cars & trucks, as well as muscle cars, tricked-out vehicles and rare models, the Square comes alive with classic tunes broadcast around the Square. 12th Annual Blairsville Pro Rodeo

The rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the Southeastern Professional Rodeo Association (SPRA). The rodeo is held in our beautiful covered arena in Union County, Georgia. Our stadium style bleachers will assure that you won’t miss a second of the action with a great view.The International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) has over 3,500 members and sanctions over 300 rodeos every year. Both nights will begin with a presentation by our very own Union County Sass ‘n Saddle Precision Drill Team. They will also perform an additional routine just prior to intermission. There will be plenty of action going on during the rodeo and our stock contractor, Hedrick Rodeo, always supplies top quality livestock to assure some thrills and spills! There will also be plenty of things for our little Cowboys and Cowgirls to do also. Lake Nottely Boat Parade

The annual Independence Day Boat Parade on lake Nottely is sure to delight young and old. Anyone with a boat is welcome to line up at the marina beginning at 10:30 am. There is no charge and boats can be decorated in any theme. Visitors can view the parade from areas around the marina.Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:30 am for boat line up. No charge.

Red, White & Blairsville – 4th of July Fireworks

Watch the skies over Meeks Park light up with an explosion of color! Come out and enjoy this beautiful, hometown Independence Day celebration. Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, food, and fun for all ages at Meeks Park. The party will also extend across the road to the North Georgia Tech campus with several food trucks of your favorites - boiled peanuts, cotton candy, pork rinds, kettle corn, lemonade. A limited number of reserved "prime" parking spots are available for purchase and must be picked up by Friday, June 30th at the Chamber office. To help support our fireworks show, many of our local businesses have donated prizes for our GIANT raffle giveaway. Raffle tickets are $10 each and the winner takes all! Reserved parking passes and raffle tickets can be purchased online by clicking the "REGISTER" button. This event is hosted by the Blairsville-Union County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Blairsville and the Union County Government. Free admission. Independece Day at Vogel State Park

Celebrate July 4th at one of the nation’s oldest state parks. We will start the day with a flag raising ceremony at 8am at the Visitors Center, followed by a day of games for the whole family. There will be a bicycle parade, pedal boat races, sandcastle competition, watermelon eating contest, sack races, egg toss and greased pole climbing. $5 parking. Summer fun for the entire family.
