Saturday afternoons April through October North Georgia's mountain music pickers, singers and listeners flock to the Dahlonega Gold Museum State Historic Site for the annual Dahlonega Appalachian Jam. The Appalachian Jam gives traditional mountain music players the chance to get together and celebrate the kind of music that has been performed in the Appalachian Mountains for generations. Musicians are invited to bring their instruments and gather on the historic Public Square to jam. Everyone else should come on down and listen or dance. Bring a chair or stool and stay awhile!

Chestatee Artists' Spring ART IN THE PARK is April 4, 2026. This "art filled" event will be in Dahlonega's Hancock Park, just one block from the historic downtown. We feature arts and crafts made by artists and artisans who create their original work. Visitors can expect original and handmade artwork like paintings, pottery, wood arts, jewelry, fiber arts, and mixed media artwork. As this event is the day before Easter Sunday, you will want to come and bring visiting relatives to this exciting affair!
