Batesville is a quaint mountain community nestled in the Northeast Georgia Mountains near the Soque River, a popular fishing area. Each year, locals celebrate their city’s heritage and history by showcasing local artisan’s wares, historical re-enactments of pioneer mountain living and folk culture. In addition to annual events, Batesville boasts the internationally known “Mark of the Potter,” a craft shop house, Sunburst Stables and the historic Batesville General Store, a hub of commercial activity as well as a favorite place to grab a bite while traveling the surrounding picturesque mountains.

Hickory Flat Pottery

The gallery connected to the pottery studio is located in a 120 year old farm house. Inside you will find potters working daily along with the work over ten artists which includes pottery, metal work, jewelry, wood and glass.
