Switched on Piano 2.0 – A Classical Music Concert

Classically trained pianists with Masters Degrees and Doctorates come together to play from the classical piano repertoire of the masters. Solos will showcase individual talents and musical interests. Duets and 2 piano 4 hands classical compositions for piano will fill the venue.Your performers for “Switched On Piano” will be performing with the latest digital sampling technology, playing a Virtual 1952 Steinway 9’ Concert grand connected to Roland Professional Stage Pianos and custom audio computer technology. Close your eyes and imagine two 9’ concert grand pianos on stage and let the Bose sound system fill your ears with the sound you are expecting to hear. The pianists, all from the local area, are excited to perform for the community and share their love of piano music. They will strive to create the magic that is the soundscape of compositions written just for the piano by master composers. Many of these compositions were written and performed by the composers themselves and virtuoso pianists of the day.

The Legacy of Jazz Concert Series is proud to present “The Sirens Song” performing songs of pioneering women in jazz, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone. Featuring international recording artist, vocalist, and cellist Shana Tucker and world-renowned composer, arranger, pianist, and concert producer Christian Tamburr. The project launched in 2019 and has toured around the US with headline performances at Birdland in NYC, The Nikko in San Francisco and multiple sold-out concerts presented by The Legacy of Jazz Concert Series.
