Join Blue Ridge Scenic Railway for a festive 1-hour train ride on the Holiday Express Experience. During your ride, you will get to listen to holiday music and "The Night Before Christmas" story. Children will receive a Blue Ridge Scenic Railway jingle bell, a candy cane, and a chance to see Santa Claus. Delicious hot chocolate and other snacks are available for purchase inside the concession car. This is one of the Train's most popular holiday events, so reserving tickets ahead of time is highly recommended.

This hike is a mild 3 miles, and is dog friendly as long as dogs remain on leash and in owner's control.

On Friday, November 27, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at Riverside Park as the village is lighted to begin the holiday season. Musical performances by local groups will precede his arrival and children are invited to meet with Santa from 5:00 to 7PM.
