Pickin' in Horseshoe Bend Park every Thursday, 6:00 PM to dusk, May - Sept. Live music jams & pickin' on the banks of the Toccoa River at the Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville.Free Admission. Park is wheelchair accessible. Come out, bring the whole family to enjoy the experience. Picnic tables are available, nice grassy lawn but you are also welcome to bring a blanket or chair. Weather Permitting

Annual Homesteading Fair – The Folk Collaborative

Join The Folk at the orchard for the annual Homesteading Faire. Food, local music, vendors, guest speakers, demonstrators, u-pick of the first fruits, pie eating contest, and canning exhibition. Local canners will compete for the coveted blue and red ribbons (but most importantly... bragging rights) in around 30 categories.Enjoy a late summer event as a small community comes together to celebrate the turning of the season and harvestime. for those interested in being a vendor or entering canned goods to be judged, contact bethpetrillo05@gmail.com.

Bigfoot Boogie 5k

The Riverwalk Run Series is America's only 5K series spanning two states! Join the excitement on a route that goes through the historic downtowns of both McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. All three 5Ks are in the evening, to encourage visitors to shop, dine, and unwind at our beautiful riverfront community. Participants of all three 5Ks receive a bonus CHALLENGE MEDAL! Here are the details for this year's Bigfoot Boogie 5K: Date / Time: Saturday, November 2 at 5:30 pm Course: A picturesque 3.1-mile route that winds through charming Southern towns, alongside the scenic Toccoa River, and across an iconic steel truss bridge—one of only a few remaining in the US. Weekend Getaway: Make it a weekend! Explore the stunning NorthWest Georgia region, surrounded by mountains and rivers. Enjoy boutique shopping, riverside dining at Riverwalk Shops, and live country music performances at TOONEYS on Friday and Saturday nights. Community Impact: The Riverwalk Run Series is organized by the McCaysville Business Association, a non-profit dedicated to fostering economic, cultural, and social growth. Whether you visit for the day or stay in one of the area’s scenic cabins or mountain lodges, there’s something for everyone. Activities: Besides the 5K, our region offers rafting, craft beer breweries, hiking, fly fishing, and live music.
