It follows a charismatic, rebellious newsboy named Jack Kelly who rallies a ragtag group of youth to strike against powerful newspaper publishers Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst when they raise the wholesale price of newspapers at the expense of the kids. Featuring hit songs like "Carrying the Banner" and "Seize the Day," the show focuses on themes of friendship, workers' rights, and the power of unity. As the kids form their own union and fight for better conditions, Jack also faces personal dilemmas about his own future and his growing relationship with Katherine Plumber, a spirited young reporter covering the strike.

Set in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest, the Blue Ridge Ultra 50K takes you through 23 miles of the Benton MacKaye Trail, 2 miles of hidden paths, and 6 miles of forest service roads. Expect tough, sometimes technical singletrack, creek crossings, steep climbs, and fast descents, all framed by stunning fall colors. The race starts and finishes at the historic Shallowford iron bridge over the Toccoa River. It challenges seasoned runners and offers a rewarding mountain adventure for all. 30K and 15K distances follow the same beautiful trails.

The Plein Air International Paint-Out event & exhibit showcases the immediacy and vibrancy of plein air painting, with artists capturing the shifting light and rich landscapes of North Georgia. This collection offers a fresh, authentic glimpse into the natural beauty and spirit of Blue Ridge in its autumn greatness. The Plein Air Event is an open invitation to all artists, amateur and professional, to paint the natural beauty of our area. Artists are welcome to bring their easels and capture the awe-inspiring fall scenes of Fannin County & Blue Ridge, Georgia. Additionally, we are continuing our quick paint event for awards at The Art Center on Friday. On Sunday, artists will return to the Art Center to submit up to two (2) pieces of artwork for judging and exhibition. Prizes totaling $1,000 will also be awarded for this year’s event. We encourage all participating artists, 18 years or older, to submit their plein air art work for our Plein Air exhibit on display from September 13 – October 18 in our Studio Gallery. All artwork on display will be exhibited during the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association 2026 Fall Arts in the Park festival, which is estimated at over 10,000 attendees in two days.

The Blue Ridge Parade of Homes is an annual, three-day event held the third weekend in October in Blue Ridge, Georgia, showcasing 16 exceptional homes built by some of the finest craftsmen in North Georgia. Set against the stunning backdrop of the North Georgia Mountains, the featured homes highlight a variety of architectural styles, quality craftsmanship, and the latest building and design trends. Homes are located throughout the mountain region, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore beautiful properties set among breathtaking landscapes. Proceeds from the event benefit local youth through the Future of Our Trades Scholarship Foundation, supporting the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
