Blue Ridge Freedom 5K

Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with the Blue Ridge Freedom 5K, organized by OnTime Results! This exciting event is set to take place on July 4, 2025, in the picturesque town of Blue Ridge, Fannin. Participants can look forward to a fun-filled run that embraces the spirit of the holiday while winding through the heart of downtown Blue Ridge. Runners of all ages can join the festivities, with awards for the most spirited participants dressed in red, white, and blue, as well as prizes for top finishers across various categories. The race will kick off at Blue Ridge Sip and Play, where you can also enjoy mimosas and bloody Marys after crossing the finish line. Don't miss out on the opportunity to grab a complimentary beer sample at Angry Hops Brewing by showing your race bib! Be sure to register online before July 4 at 7:15 a.m. for faster check-in and to secure your spot in this vibrant celebration of freedom and community. Old Timers’ Parade

Join us on Friday, the 4th of July in Downtown Blue Ridge for the Annual Old Timers' Parade! This parade started in the 1950's and it is a time for all of Blue Ridge to come together and celebrate the 4th of July as well as the way Blue Ridge, Georgia used to be. Bring your antique vehicles, dress in period attire or not, it's up to you! Calling all businesses in the downtown area! Please advertise the “Old Timers Parade” by decorate your store windows, telling all your customers when the parade will start and MOST importantly, be in the parade!

Join us for the Annual Lake Blue Ridge Fireworks. Lake Blue Ridge Fireworks are sponsored by the Lake Blue Ridge Civic Association, Fannin County Chamber of Commerce and Fannin County Government. Fireworks begin at dusk. There are several places for viewing: Morganton Point Recreation Area, From a boat in Lake Blue Ridge near the Lake Blue Ridge Dam, The Lake Blue Ridge Marina, Lake Blue Ridge Dam, as well as adjacent areas by the "tower in the lake".
