Through the study of chamber music, students develop their artistic and interpretive talents as well as strengthen their leadership, expression, and communication skills. Students have regular coachings with faculty members from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, masterclasses with guest artists from all over the nation, special classes such as career development, eurhythmics, Alexander Technique, and multiple opportunities to perform in public.Franklin Pond Chamber Music was founded in 2001 by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra violinist Ronda Respess, who started the Summer Intensive Program after realizing Atlanta’s need for a high quality summer program for serious string students. The following summer Franklin Pond received its 501(c)3 status and has been steadily growing since then.
