National Public Lands Day is a “Fee-Free Day”—one of only five days a year when entrance fees are waived at national parks and other public lands. Because of this everyone can enjoy Brasstown Bald for FREE between the hours of 1 pm and 5 pm (Please note the shuttle fee still applies)!
On the Bald you’ll find picnic areas with great views; a general store with locally made products; three trailheads just off of our parking lot; a mountaintop natural science & history museum, and observation deck that offers a spectacular 360° view of the surrounding area, including four states (GA, TN, NC, & SC) and if you’re lucky, the skyline of Atlanta!
Spend the afternoon soaking in the beauty of the North Georgia mountains!
