Ellijay Music Festival
The 2026 Ellijay Music Festival presented by Appalachian Beverage will feature award-winning songwriters, recording artists, musicians and bands that will perform their original songs, fan favorites, and hits in live shows at The Butcher and Bottle, Gilmer Arts Playhouse, Cantaberry, The Ellijay Cigar Lounge, and Cartecay River Brewing Co. "We are delighted to produce the Ellijay Music Festival presented by Appalachian Beverage for a fourth consecutive year and once again bring a celebrated national recording artist to Ellijay for our fans to enjoy over three exciting days thanks to the enthusiastic community and regional support, loyal sponsors, and performing artist excitement", said Ray Green, festival founder, and Executive Producer. Musicians ranging from emerging and veteran songwriters to seasoned hitmakers will take festival stages and perform music in genres ranging from Country to Pop, Blues to Honky Tonk, and Americana to Rock n' Roll. The Ellijay Music Festival has become one of the premier live music events in the southeast United States and the largest spring event in Gilmer County, Georgia. Most shows will be free and everyone is welcome. "The festival will bring together thousands of live music fans as we celebrate and benefit the performing arts”. “Attendees will have a chance to meet and hang out with the performers, listen to their songs, hear the stories behind the songs, and enjoy mountain life in beautiful Ellijay over Mothers Day Weekend", added Green.

Plein Air, Art in the Mountains
This is our 11th year to host what has turned out to be North Georgia’s most popular plein air event. We hope you will consider joining us this year as painting outdoors brings us all together for a wonderful weekend of art, fellowship, and the enjoyment of the beautiful mountain area in Ellijay! The Plein Air “Art in the Mountains” event is open to all plein air artists 18 years of age and older. All painting mediums are acceptable. Artists will be given a list of hosted locations and will paint on location over the three-day event, as well as during a Quick Paint competition. Each artist may submit up to three (3) original works of art done at those locations of which one of the three will be from the Quick Paint competition. These will be displayed and available for sale during the live auction on Sunday, May 17. A Welcome Reception and Collector’s Preview will be hosted by Gilmer Arts on Friday evening, and artists will be allowed to bring one studio piece for sale for this event.
